Hello all. I am new to this forum and so far the reading has been very helpful. However, I have a few questions...don't know where to go from here.
Brief history about me: I currently drive a 84 Passenger International School bus and have been for 4 years with a Class B license. I am looking at getting away from the rowdy kids and getting at least a little quiet time, by driving a truck. I love being on the road.
Anyway, are there any companies out there that would take me and train me for a Class A since I already have the Class B? I tried calling Heartland Express today, and they said I would need one year of Class A experience before they would consider me. I am not sure where to go from here. Please help! Thanks in advance.

The best place would e back to school. Class B and Class A are not compatible. It will help when applying to school's that you already have experience with commercial vehicles. But you will also need to gain experience with Class A trucks.
In that vain.

Actually...we have 90 passenger busses too. 3 per seat. But, as long as there are McDonalds and other junk food out there, most of the time, you can only get 2 to a seat.
Thanks so far for the responses. Gotta love this forum. Keep em' coming. I am now looking up and ready on some of these companies that you all have sent my way. Also, I am in TN, close to Knoxville and Sevierville. So if there is anyone from around here that has any suggestions, would love to hear from you as well as far as training/companies. Thanks again!!! -
There's a forum member on here that did what you are thinking about doing, school bus to truck this year. Went with Swift. Oldnewbie wannabe or something like that is his handle.
