My boss does a few stretches, I asked him about it, he doesn't do it behind the cab cos that's where the most flex is, he does it around the bogie and he says costs a max 3000 dollars, I can't comment, I don't know much about it but he's been doin heavy haul trucks a while!

Around 38-40 feet overall on singles. If tandems stay, then 45 feet.

How much length are you adding in addition to what you have now? You can add on to the frame and move rear suspension and axles back without removing original frame length.

Not sure what the length of the stock truck is. I do not have the truck locally here with me to measure it. It is(edit: will be if all goes well) 387 Peterbilt with C15.

EXACTLY.that is why most macks(and whatever other make,i just have driven the double framed macks) that pull logs/sticks,mainly out of the woods, are double framed. shoot.there is a lot of difference in the ride coming out of the woods LOADED between a double frame and a regular frame.that double frame always seemed to soak the rough stuff up and made for a smoother ride. That is just my opinion-

Might want to look over the Tatra.com website in regards to the no frame claim, under subtitle "Why Tatra" in the section T810 chasis it does in fact show a frame and talk about one. In addition, under subtitle "vehicle design", it shows a primary central tube structure as a frame to tie the chassis together. The beauty of this design is the fact of the long travel suspension and that it all pivots around the tube frame, as well as being short of course they will get around like a Jeep. Try to make internal and external weight bridge laws out here on the big roads and it will not able to haul anything legally, out in the bush it is easy to see the advantage. With a payload on it or in a tank or what have you it will flex and twist no way around that no one can defy weight and gravity, but minimizing that action and using it to your advantage they sure no how to do that well. Any idea what one of these babies cost?

t810 is only tatra with rigid (portal) axles it is small truck mainly for military it have 7.2L engine from deutz/renault/volvo

all other models are with independent suspension, this frame you can see is only preparation for subframe of bodywork it does not hold anything

more info about trucks , tatra was quite rough for many years uncomfortable ugly technically way behind other trucks , some years ago it receive air suspension on all axles, which make it always at same height (before tatra have very specific look of wheels when empty)

tatra is very famous by one thing ....they have air cooled engines , without any electronics , they had even euro5 engine without any electronics air cooled

but now ......daf bought some of tatra shares and tatra now have daf cf cab which is very modern comparing to what tatra had before , they have now modern ZF gearboxes both manual and automated , and modern daf(paccar) mx engines from 360-510hp
