I wonder if anyone has any ideas about truck driving schools in or near Seattle, which is where I am now.
I see that 160 Driving Academy in Seattle looks pretty good. Prices seem low compared to others, and (according to them at least) they support you getting a job coming out of it.
There's also New Sound Driving School in Milton, WA, not too far away.
I'm new up here, so I'm just looking into it now.
Any thoughts or ideas will be super appreciated.
Thanks!

I recommend going to a school that Old Dominion Freight Line hires from. Won't take too long to be making $100G as a driver there.

I'd prefer 160 Driving Academy over New Sound Driving School because 160 is 160 hours and New Sound is 120 hours.
Both schools are ok, except you have more trucking companies to choose from with 160 hours school.tscottme Thanks this. -
Sound reasoning, and 160 is in Seattle, Sound is an hour and a half away.

I got my license before the school requirement. Have no way to make a valid recommendation.
State of WA has a listing of registered schools.

May want to check for community colleges near you.
Also may want to check in at Work Source Washington to see if you can get coaching and retraining/career training grant money

All trade-schools are required to keep statistics on job placement of students. Check the school's stats.
The industry is SLOW right now. You better have a squeaky clean driving, criminal, work history. You ought to find the job BEGORE you pay for school. Many newbies are not getting hired right now. -
There is no truck driver shortage.
