Whats the story on Seaboard/Harmac? My brother was asking me and they're always looking for drivers and O/O's.... and this is usually a red flag.

    Thanks in advance,
    Kenny

Seaboard has hired TFW's when more qualified Canadians applied for truck driver jobs that Seaboard advertised. In other words the ads were fake and Seaboard was throwing job applications from Canadians in the garbage.

Lately Seaboard is hiring large numbers of recent immigrants from Punjab as O/O's and company drivers. This is correctly being interpreted as the beginning of the end in fuel hauling (Trimac and Westcan are doing the same). Fuel hauling wages will soon be similar to other woebegone-unqualified-recent-immigrant-from-Punjab-dominated sectors of trucking like port container hauling, gravel trucks and lumber hauling. $7/hr anyone?

Noticed Tandet in toronto this morning has also brought in new Canadians to pull their tankers...

I just hope they at least understand the basic physics of how hauling a liquid will constantly change your weight around especially if you can't avoid having to stop quickly..

Its so easy for anyone to get into trucking,, no education whatsoever required. I just saw this posting for Flagperson. Most truck drivers would not qualify to operate the stop and go sign. I always get a chuckle when some clown calls trucking a profession,,,,must be easily challenged IMO

Yes, true, I can verify that. I drove for Trimac in Calgary and in Sherwood Park and there is a lot of new Canadians around and very little clear English spoken there. I agree with the post from @Runawayscreaming. Trimac had a pile of Jamaicans brought over for the TFW program. Margins are getting slimmer in fuel and these companies are really looking for ways to cut costs and wages are one of them. I took a couple pay cuts at Trimac. (Mostly bonuses)

I have no direct experience with them but I worked with a few guys that drove for them (in Toronto) and they left due to the rate cuts. I noticed in the Indeed reviews that owner ops were complaining about pay there too.
