    I'm using the Seagate SATA 1.5 10,000rpm and its fast. I can't wait to use this new drive. :biggrin_255:

    I would check for the heck of it if there is a jumper setting to unleash the 3.0. I bought a couple that were preset for the 1.5 and had to change them. The only tip-off I had was from the reviews of the drives a couple people pointed it out, there was nothing in the documentation about it.

    If you really want fast, look at the SSD offerings like intel x25m,ocz vertex, and samsung drives. They make a 15k drive look SLOW. Downside is price and capacity(160gb intel runs about $700) but the tech is only about a yr old and prices are already 1/2 of a year ago.
