For under 200 you can get a nice flat screen and get local networks in HD.
    A decent antenna is needed.

I would go with cable service in the truck if I was you. Make sure to get 4,000 miles of coaxial cable, and hook up one end before you leave home.

    U2Exit and Pur48Ted Thank this.

Judging by his question he may just need that coaxial to find his way home.:biggrin_25526:

If you want it for football, you're gonna want DISH or one of the other satellite services. You can get Sunday Night Football online and occasionally get some of the games on local channels, but you can't get all of them-- you need ESPN. No guarantee you'll be parked near a Buffalo Wild Wings every Sunday and Monday. :)

If you have internet service you may find a streaming site and use your TV as a monitor for your laptop. Some folks say they have used their 3G service to do this.

I've heard it won't flow as well as normal TV broadcasts, and does get rather patchy at times but it is reported that you can watch most any game.

There has been activity to close down these sites, but as soon as one is closed down another pops up.

For the more creative types, some folks have set up VPN's (Virtual Private Networks) with streaming broadcast of live games. You'd have to have access to the VPN.

Both scenarios probably violate your ISP terms of service agreement and could result in termination of your internet access account in the event of your 1 in a million chance of being caught.

VPN's (for game broadcasts) are usually set up for folks that are subject to blackout rules, and you would really need to know someone that would grant you access. Rumor has it that a lot of these VPN's are set up on college campuses. (Give a kid a computer and he'll prove to the world how smart he is. Of course, the police have always called criminals wise guys! )

    **DISCLAIMER**

I know of no such sites or VPN's - past, present or future, nor have I used any of these sites or VPN's. All information is based on text already available on the internet and rumor.

Then there is Dish and Direct TV.
