I have 1.5 yrs experience driving but have had 3 minor preventable accidents within that time. None are DOT recordable and have 9 months safe driving now. Looking for a company that runs solo drivers to all 48 states. Have worked at 7 jobs in 18 months. I'm tired of job hopping. Any suggestions

I tired of hopping as well. I think over 50 of something in my life time. Some hardly long enough to dry ink on time card.

What I do is join a lease fleet that runs out/with McKesson for Narcotics and medicien the main thing is to be on time. And usually haul cardboard back to shipper. With occasional reloads fro other poinas

One of the better impressions from you is peace and quiet. Literally where are you? IF nothing is heard then assumptions a Trucker going quietly and drama free about the work.

7 jobs in 18 months not going to look good. May I suggest a different line of work?

Yes, you may; what do you suggest? Maybe a cow puncher in Colorado?

I know of a second chance company that might hire you, but they pay on 1099.
Advertise $1.00 a mile due to it being 1099.
    Liberty Logistics Inc.

    Lilburn, GA 30047
I've seen a few of their ads and supposedly solo drivers run 48 states.

7 jobs in 18 months ? Yikes, I think I've had 100 jobs in 50 yrs ! And lived in 100 places and had 60 cars and 7 wives ! Yeah I'm serious ! Back then, you could get away with it......today, modern technology KO's you. My advice ? Yeah, listen to the old man, seriously, don't job hop. Pick a somewhat decent co and give it your best. YOU can contribute to the co's future. It's not you VS. mgmt., right ? It's YOU putting your best effort forward. Now, go my Son, and report back in 6 months. :occasion5:

The right fit isn’t found in a trucking forum. You’ll work for 7 more companies searching for that answer.

There is no perfect company. Not even the one I work for. What you’ll eventually find is a company you can tolerate. And they’ll eventually recognize you as someone they want to keep in their employ. Then, it all comes together.

Well, there's that, but what are they looking for? Ok, I could see giving something a couple months, but if it's that bad, what makes them think it's any better anywhere else? I mean, I had a slew of jobs too, but tried to improve myself when I did leave a job, and finally made it to my union job. If one doesn't find it in 7 jobs in 18 months, , what is that, 10 weeks per job, perhaps they aren't going to find it. If you were a prospective employer, and you got this kind of job performance, would you hire them?
