That is a very basic seat.....Didn't do anything for me.
The ISRI seat I have, has a few features that are cool:
1. Dump valve to lower the seat instantly. (nice when getting out)
2. Memory so that when you deactivate the dump valve the seat
returns to exactly where you set it.
It also has side air bolsters, dual lumbar and a million ways to adjust the seat.
If I had to get picky about one possible complaint it might be that the seat itself doesnt seem to travel all that far backwards. At the last rear setting, its perfect for me and I am 6' tall. I am not sure how someone taller might fit. However, shorter people shouldnt have any issue as I think the seat can go right into the steering wheel on the way forward!. It's mounted in the OEM KW bolt holes and I suppose one could drill new holes if the reach wasnt sufficient. Of course KW uses these lovely HUCKBOLTS under the rig, but you could use nuts and bolts I suppose..
Due to the auto-adjusting the seat has, it takes some getting used to since as you get off the seat, it rises slightly and then falls into a 'neutral' spot. Then when you get back on, it will drop and then re-air back to where it knew you liked it.
This is different from any seat I have used in the past, where when you air'd them up, they stayed put.

I've been buying Elite 80's lately,I installed 2 new Bostrom wide ride's in my personal
truck a number of years ago. I've not been real impressed with their durability. The
backrest is comprised of a thin tubing all the way around the outer perimeter, with
a spring mesh in between kinda like your mattress, only much lighter. At 1 time both of the tubes broke down close to the bottom, could be because I lay it flat to take power naps.
But I fixed 'em, I put a solid piece of bar that just fit in the pipes, and than welded everything up. As far as ride quality, no issues there.
I've not had any problems with Elite 80's in 2 years of using them, so can't speak to their warranty service. -
I was calling this day.Peterbild in DES moines.the have a new price one the elite 80 seat is 750$

$750 though, is a really good price.....SHC Thanks this.

You can call Central Illinois Trucks, Springfield, IL location I-55 Exit 100(217 544 5300), ask for Dennis, they were quoting around $725 range.
Nothing to go out of your way for, more of a matter of which Interstate you would be on to pick up in person. Have a couple quotes in the $800 range elsewhere. -
Didn't read the whole thread but wanted to cast my vote. Had my ### in the Sears elite for a little over three years now and ### don't ever wanna go to another. Very durable also. Love em
-
Your ### don't ever want to go to another, Sears Elite or another brand?
can you elaborate on this? -
I'm very happy with the Sears Elite. Wouldn't by anything other than Sears, unless they change designs or something in the future. Very comfortable and user friendly. remove the6 inch base and it will sit all the way down on the floor and still go all the way to the roof. Haven't ever measured the travel but it's between 12" and 18" for sure. Friend priced 2 of them yesterday at $758 if he picks them up at the plant in Davenport IA. that price is leather with no arm rests
SHC Thanks this. -
You mean ULTRAleather ? They dont make a real leather seat.
It's a synthetic but still a nice material. Wears good, looks good and is easy to clean.
I have nothing against their Sears seats as long as you don't have any warranty issues or concerns.
Most people never do...so..

Had the Seats Inc Legacy HD in my last three W900s (shows you'll how stupid I am).
The only way I would buy another, is if they threw in a brand new W900, plus free fuel for a year.........and the price would have to be cheaper than the Elite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I recently traded my 265" W900 for a 236" T800, bob tailing almost 1000 mi. each way. What amazed me is how good that cheap two "button" factory seat in the T800 rode. I am actually thinking of simply replacing the seat's cushions and upholstery, or trying to find a higher end version of this seat. I LIKE the ride of that factory seat.
It does however have a VERY annoying squeak; sounds like a couple engaged in some industrial strength lovemaking on top of a rusty old box spring mattress. A can of the white spray grease, and big handful of Vaseline hasn't come close to helping.
