What credentials would I need work summer months in Kentucky and winter months in Florida? I’m owner operator with a Triaxle dump. It gets slow during winter and I have opportunity to stay in Florida during winter months. Would my Ky tags be ok in Florida?

Most (all?) states require one to transfer their license within 30 days of moving. Most also have limits on how long one can live in the state before one is considered a resident. In Michigan when I moved it was 90 days,

You're best bet is simply call the two states DMV's and see if you will be required to transfer license.

    Sturgill Thanks this.

It would seem to me as long as your truck is IRP base plated in your DL (home) state and you don't move, you should be fine.

Should you change addresses, well that's different.

FL is a pretty easy going state anyway, so is VT. Now, if it was NY/NJ/PA....
