My 3/4 helmet saved my face in a low side. Got some rash on my chin and a great big scrape on the face shield. Dress for the crash, not for the ride.

My log truck is an 88 with just a lap belt. I go through the scales on a daily basis, when we are hauling logs, I have never had them check or say anything at all about it.

Honestly if I get kilt, I will not give a flying flip what any news article says. I have always just told my wife if it was a two vehicle accident, sue the bejesus out of the other party, cuz they have done went and kilt me. lol

I don’t put on my seatbelt because the government or anyone is forcing me. I put it on because the research is clear on its effectiveness in saving lives. I am amazed we are all still arguing about this nonsense. Why is this so difficult to comprehend. This ain’t no physics.

No argument to it, you wear yours, i will wear mine IF I want, I will not try to tell you what to do, you will not be telling me what to do. So no argument.

Yup we all get it. But we always hear about accidents when folks were saved by belts. Very few if any reports when folks survive, and were not using their belt. I am sure you realize big government, and or big brother really..really..cares about you? Remember my people. "click it or ticket". I love you all, signed "big brother".

I must have the perfect body because I never notice I have my seatbelt on, no chaffing or rubbing.
I would say the same “people” that don’t want to wear a seat belt are the same “people” that want to drive 22 hours each and every day.

No not so. Just don't like to be told what to do..all the time. I will add that micro managing seems to be the way we are headed? Driver facing cameras, speed limiters, a one size rule fits all. My truck is able to go at least 90mph. But have not had a speeding ticket since late 80's or early 90's. I realize there has to be rules and laws. But i think it is getting to be in excess. Just my opinion.

This is the kind of attitude that gets too many truckers 5 extra tickets every time they're pulled over because they argue and get indignant. There's a lot of stuff that you're told to do and have to follow.

You are absolutely correct. One has to wise enough to know how to act, and when. No micro managing, like i said, and i don't need a babysitter riding with me. Don't need to be told how long i can use my phone etc.
