SEC Carrier

If you have good credit it doesn't matter that much. The biggest thing a lender looks at is length of credit history and paying on time. I already have a mortgage so it is not an issue with me.
I don't see it as something to base if you work for a company or not. Anyhow to each his own. I think SEC is.a better then average company to drive for. There are 50,000+ trucking companies in the USA. I'm sure you can find better.
I'm certain you can do a lot worse.

 

The two biggest factors a lender bases a loan on is the length of time you have had an established credit history and paying your bills on time. If you have a history of paying late or you haven't had credit established for very long, your income isn't that big of a factor. I already have a mortgage so it doesn't make any difference to me. I never have trouble borrowing money or have to pay a high interest rate. Job hopping can hurt you if you want to borrow money. The bank is looking for stability and reliability foremost. Not much of.a reason not to work for a company.
