Just in front of my oil filter looks like a place for a second oil filter. Is that a cap that can be removed for the second oil filter? If so is there any beifits to running two? Thanks

Are you correct in saying you have a C-10? What size truck (single axle or tandem) and what are you doing with it? I have driven as C-10, and believe me, they are only good for local single axle, light load stuff.

International 8100 tandem axle. 4.56 or 4.10 gears rockwell 10 spd. low pro tires tops out at 78. Local truck. no more than 700 mile round trips. Pulls just fine. It has 350hp from factory and I have stright pipe and boost wire, fuel wire plugs. We have added air ride cab. When hauling logs we load it ip to 85-90k. Does just as good as our 9200 c12 410hp truck. I cruise at 65mph get about 6.5 to 7 mpg. I love the little truck. My loads are in galveston and houston so the little short truck is great. Gears gears gears, I wish I had a 13 speed. At 65 I an at 1750rpms.

With the rear gears you have and flat area you live in, it sounds like the setup works good for you. The one I drove a few times was geared higher and was pulling a box in hills.

Its a company truck, but the owners are cool about mods as long as it doen't kill the mpg's or the engine. It does ok on hills out west Texas. As for light loads, it gets more 75-80k lbs loads than anything less.

Anyone know about the second filter. Its easy (maby fun) to get off topic.

I wouldn't bother, the truck is still being used for what it was spec'd for. Most engines only run one filter. The truck is also 11+ years old, it has ran fine all this time, I wouldn't start messing with it.

Your right, but it only has 239K miles. We bought it for 8,000.00 and very clean. It has paid for its self and then some. It should have a life of 500K.
