Order all non-domicile/provisional CDLS revoked.
States that do not follow the rule suspend every authority in the state.
If his wife and kids were even close to being hit by a truck, he would have come up with serious regs and shut down everything until this problem is fixed.Suspect Zero, MACK E-6, ducnut and 7 others Thank this. -

This cuts the legs off of every carrier in the state, and I can guarantee that within hours, it will force the state to react and compile. The federal government has a hell of a lot of power under the Interstate Commerce Clause, and the large number of SC rulings that the state has zero power to do a thing about it; they just have to comply.
While the talk of restricting or withholding federal funding is a congressional issue, suspending all a specific states' authorities is right in the hands of the US DoT and FMCSA without a doubt.
The states are obligated under the agreement they have with the federal government to abide by all FMCSA laws or create stricter laws, having a non-domicile CDL being restricted or being invalid through regulations, means that the state can not have them at all. Stricter would mean eliminating all non-domicile and regular driver's licenses ahead of the feds.bullhaulerswife, Kyle G., Trucker61016 and 3 others Thank this. -
Educating people about the problem is a good thing. Some people don't know what you mean when you tell them what's been going on. Sean Duffy is communicating effectively at least.
bullhaulerswife and Kyle G. Thank this. -
I predict a flurry of Lawsuits back and forth.
