Better to be paranoid than robbed. There was a lot of that going on at that old truckstop by the bridge in Philly but the perps were caught and it seemed to die out. She got 7 of us for sure, possibly 10. The cops were there with a dog and that dog went to all our trucks and 2 empty parking spots around 5 AM. The dog went to one parked truck and they woke the driver up and he said he hadn't been robbed. When they asked him how long he had been there he said 1 hour and he pulled in as another truck was leaving so she probably got the previous truck as well. The dog found the straight razor in the grass outback. All she took was cash, no credit cards or ID. The cops said even if they caught up to her it would be hard to prove anything as all she had to say was she got lucky playing poker. I know when I used to run hard a lot of mornings I would run in and fill my thermos and pay for it with pocket change.

They knew it was a women as there were 2 boys that had run out from California together. They parked side by side. The one went to bed and the other stayed up for awhile. He saw her getting into his friends truck and thought she was a lot lizzard. Said she sat in the seat for a few minutes, went into the sleeper for awhile, came out and sat on the seat like she was talking to him in the sleeper, got out and slowly walked away. The robbee was mad at his friend. Told him "I guided you all the way from California to here and you sit there watching me get robbed."

I've often wondered if that spray didn't work as well as she planned and the driver woke up if she would have slit his throat with that razor.

She got me for just under $200, talking to the other drivers around $3,000 total.

I guess if you're going to be robbed, getting robbed in your sleep is the way to do it. Eliminates the drama and tension.

That "getting gassed" was an urban trucker legend from back in the early 90's.
There have been many alleged victims, but no viable police reports or other facts supporting such nonsense.
If it were a factual MO the need for open vents is totally irrelevant.
You would have to be physically restrained in order for
either* to render you to such an unconscious state.

All this post proves is your ignorance. This was happening in the 80's and was widely reported.
