How about this, simply don't presume the guard was at fault until you know what the driver did? You know, like what the cops who didn't arrest the guard do know from witness statements and possibly security footage. And yes, if deadly force is needed to be used to defend one's self, then make it deadly force. Whenever a weapon is drawn it's not a game. What happens if he shot for the leg, missed and hit someone else instead?

When the driver started assaulting the guard, he 100% chose his own fate.

And if you don't think the driver assaulted the guard, give me one plausible way the guard would not be jail otherwise. And remember that there was likely witnesses, and even if not there was security cameras.

 

Is the driver arrested? No he's just in the hospital because he was shot. Nothing ever mentioned about him being arrested. So I guess since he wasn't arrested he did nothing wrong either right?

 

Since you said he stole the parking spot and assaulted someone why isn't he arrested and cuffed to the hospital bed yet???

They have the criminal arraigned in the hospital and put under police supervision in the hospital.

 

I guess there are only two people who know what happened. However I can tell you with 100 percent certainty it takes a special level of stupid to allow things to escalate to the point of being shot by a truck stop cop.

 

If the driver was not armed, then the rent a cop is in serious trouble. Shooting an unarmed person is at a minimum of unnecessary force. And really a parking space is not worth taking a life, period.Part of why I don't park in truckstop that charge.

The driver was in stable condition two days ago. Where did you hear he had died?
