More of a rant than anything else because I had to endure one of the worst fake cops just now.

Why do some places not tell their security crew that they are not cops? Why are these glorified walmart door greeters allowed to act with such poor attitudes to drivers who are courteous to them?

I get that they are tired of the fat stinky slobs drivers that they come across, but there should definitely be a level of understanding that they can at least say hello when a driver walks in the door, rather than a loud sigh and extended hand looking for paperwork.

Also, when its an outdoor guard shack such as US Foods in Allentown,PA, why are they allowed to smoke in their 2' x 2' office and breathe it directly into the face of a driver that doesn't smoke??? Its so disgusting and disrespectful!

Have you guys ever called and complained about the verbal and physical abuse from guards??

    Everett Thanks this.

There is one security guard like that at the Tyson plant. He has the most sour attitudeHe's short and in his 70s.Guess his wife got fired for taking too many smoke brks as to why he now hates everybody.Thank god I don't have to see him every day.But when he is there I just tell him the seal number, temp on the trl and what trl I have and i'm out of there. The less I have to look at him the better off I am.

No making any excuses for them but if you had to put with some drivers that think they are God's gift to trucking and the world revolves around them, you would stereotype every driver that walks in the door also. Just like drivers stereotype all security guards. I have ran into some real good ones and made friends with a few at places I have picked up. And then I have also ran into a few that I just wanted to run over.:biggrin_25523:

Ack, don't let 'em get to you. You only see them for a few minutes, then may never deal with them again. But they have to LIVE WITH THEMSELVES forever. . .:biggrin_25523:

True, some guards have to put up with certain drivers that think the world revolves around them. But some guards like the one I have to deal with is just sour no matter what and has been talked to about it I guess.
