If your in the west coast, it would be rare to get hired to drive a dump truck without an A. We run combinations like semi dump, truck and trailer, double bottoms, and double T&T's.

Okay, cross them off the list I guess.
I was thinking about the trash trucks that use articulating arms to hoist dumpsters into the truck.

That's not no touch, the driver usually has to load everyone's luggage.

Just let this be a lesson for rookies going after their CDL. If you are going through the trouble to get your CDL, get class A. Much more job opportunities.

Any particulars as to why people walk off from that kind of deal? Seems worth sticking it out.

I hauled aluminum for years, 10' - 30' bundles on a straight truck with a 24' bed. Pull up, unstrap, point at bundles, strap and leave, rinse and repeat.

You have to be hard working, self-motivated, thorough, plan well and think ahead, be willing to work nights, and have some common sense and basic math skills. Maybe it's too much to ask, idk
