This one is listed at 18,470 lbsLBZ Thanks this. -
Thanks for updating the thread as things went. Good to see how things turn out for a change from when the original question(s) are asked.
Hope the truck is running well. -
Knock on wood, no issues so far. One thing that I did find is that the oil filter on these Cummins is much more expensive than on my previous Detroit. Many shops don't stock the filter either, so now I always keep 2 spare filters in the truck.
Really liking the truck so far. Rides smooth, and very quiet! I'm right at 97k miles, and other than having had to replace the rubber that goes on the door, only other times its been in the shop is for oil changes. Letting the shop do the oil changes until the warranty runs out.
Gas mileage is right around 8 mpg's, had it as high as 8.5 and lowest was in the low 7's. -
how much $$?

My Kenworth W900 is far and away the best truck I have ever driven. It just goes and goes and the reliability has been excellent. I keep hearing about how the International prostars are junk including maxforce motors. I have a 550 Detroit in my 2000 KW. While I love my W900 that 660 has to get at least 1 or 2mpg better than what I get and fuel mileage is king. You will want the aerodynamic 660 pulling a box. I too like the Lonestar but they are really proud of them and I just don't think they are worth the risk of owning.

Ok, now I notice the thread is old but nice truck

If u feel like saving fuel, take t660. If you are, yeah 18 sp, take lonestar. I would take t660.

You don't have to change oil at the dealer. You can save $100's by getting it done elsewhere. Use good filters and good oil. If your in toronto rig lube in Mississauga is great very thorough they check all fluid levels etc etc scrape 5th wheel with a puddy knife before greasing it and your in and out in 20 minutes, and, it's $200 cheaper than the stealer!!! Good luck with your new ride!!!
