Nobody ever sees it as a near future threat when they sneak it in slowly. And the insane part about this is it isn’t even under the radar. It’s out there in the open.
Everytime someone goes out and trades for or buys a new car or truck with the lastest so called “driver assist” feature they are just helping it along to get closer to happen.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
they are essentially charging the owners and using their driving data to collect info on roads, driving conditions, driving styles, and countless other data.
In other words best info collection to date. Charge owner use info.SmallPackage and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

You say the goovernment will step in and do something to slow it down or whatever if something catastropic happens but look at what happened when that lumber load that went balls to the wall into Denver. Did they get together the following day or week and pass a law that “says starting Monday all cdl operators will have to be “retrained” in mountainous or heavy traffic operation” -
Another one of these #### posts let it go! It ain't happening man, not for a long time. Freaking drivers act like they're gonna wake up tomorrow without a job. PLEASE!!! these trucks don't have AI, it's just a computer that needs data to do its job. If any of those data streams are wrong or not working shes dead in the water.
G13Tomcat, D.Tibbitt and Deere hunter Thank this. -
Driver is only in the truck to satisfy the law. Florida made driverless trucks legal and they have done tests with no human in the truck.
