It’s a 2017 glider. New truck, factory reman engine installed by the dealer that sold it.Underwater trucker and Deere hunter Thank this.

Ok so let's use your screen name. A glider is a new truck without a drivetrain (at least 2 out of the 3 parts are missing: engine, trans or rears) produced by Paccar or Daimler. Volvo and International did not make them in recent history. Typically for transport reasons, rears are the drivetrain selection put on at the factory, then a dealer puts the engine and transmission combo in. An individual could also order a glider and put in their own drivetrain parts. The OP is stating the engine was fresh when the glider was finished by a Daimler dealer. Gliders are no longer made, but were the easy legal answer to not having emissions issues as well as a lot of them being elog exempt with pre-2000 manufactured engines.nikmirbre, Deere hunter and AModelCat Thank this.

Alot of you are missing the critical info. His motor was a rebuilt with zero miles.wifi_guru Thanks this.

The whole unit has 600k miles is how I read it.
I think a lot of folks don't understand what a glider is.Deere hunter, snowwy and Long FLD Thank this. -
530 and rebuild than another 600. So 1.1 million on the truck? I’m lost, either way. OP should take the first offer and run. If you believe that you will get anything close to 80k I have some time shares I’d like to sell….
wifi_guru Thanks this. -
On the bright side investors lost a bunch of coin in the last few years and might stay out of trucking next time it’s good..
Underwater trucker Thanks this. -
I think you're correct. I'm driving a 2017 , 389 glider. With a 1996 engine, depending on what engine his truck has and how it's been cared for it could easily go a million miles before needing a rebuild. That said I still don't think it's a 80K truck .
