You’ll need a bill of sale for the purchaser. Once the loan is paid off they will release the title to you, then you’ll overnight it to the purchaser after you get it in the mail.

It can be generic. Really all you need is your info, the buyer’s info, trailer info, VIN, and price. I’ve sold trucks and trailers with a hand written bill of sale before.

I have always told my lender my plan. Then sell the equipment any way you want to. If you work with a local bank you can do the deal in the bankers office.
Buyer gives you a check you hand it to banker. Then banker gives buyer a lien release for title. Banker deposits remaining equity in you account.
If you are upside down on the loan it can be done but your banker has to be onboard.

If I were the buyer, I’d make the check out to both the seller and the lien holder, so the seller can’t take the money for a weekend in Vegas.

If you’re upside down on the transaction, you’ll have to bring the extra money to the bank to be able to release the title.
