Semi trailer tire size

    Everybody has their own thoughts but if your pulling a hopper bottom and especially if it's a commodity wagon I would only want 24:5 .. talls.. not low pros..but that just me
    IDK what you have on there now but that will somewhat dictate what your choices are

    255/70R22.5 for highway trailer.

    For bulk hopper here I would only consider all the lightweight options and that is 22.5 wheels and not 24.5 wheels, since paid by weight. Doepker/Lode King/Wilson all have 24”+ clearance hoppers when on 22.5 tires.

    I want my trailer tires the same size as my truck tires. When I replace 4 or 8 drive tires if there's any with some tread left I'll finish them out on the trailer

    I was told not to do it because the drive is not build for the trailer (tread line)

    Well I do it all the time. Rolling resistance is probably higher running drives on the trailer but that isn't a concern for me.

    Don't know any other reason to not run whatever tires out on the trailer, get full use out of them. Trailer tires see the same abuses as drives
