I have a 3500 and started off with a 4 car trailer. Within a month i got rid of the 4 car cause the truck was struggling to move and stop with that kind of weight. Loaded with 4 cars (16 k-22 k lb load) and a 10k lb tare weight of the trailer overloaded the stock 17" rear tires and drive axle every time.
I now have a 3 car low profile and I try not to load it past 15k lbs of load. I agree with the posts above, a single axle semi would fare much better with a 4-5 car trailer and be more comfortable.
