I've been to several truck stops with a wall mounted official USPS mail box and a few with a full size USPS steel public mail box inside, usually near the main entrance. Most truck stops do not have those official mail boxes. Usually the really big truck stops do have them.

Yeah I thought that too, and they have usernames like 'Nextgentrucker'. Seems a bit counterintuitive to me.

I also have used the blue USPS mailboxes at truck stops.

You’re supposed to be able to use ANY MAILBOX you can access to mail a stamped letter. Just put the letter in the box and raise the little flag thing. Ive mailed postcards from the regular mailbox in the Loves parking lot this way.

That said, if it’s important, Id make sure to find a blue drop box or an actual post office. Some truckstops have the blue drop box, but not many. You can google maps street view the truckstops ahead. The blue drop box is usually near the front door. Best bet is to look for an actual post office that you can park near. USPS has an interactive map of locations on their website but it gave me a hard time last time I tried it.
