That is true... But that is the fault of the rule makers who are not truck drivers. They feel trucking is like McDonald's staffing... Anyone can do it. Therefore instead of forcing proper trucking education they force petty rules on everyone instead of getting rid of the truckers that should not be permitted to ride a bicycle let alone be behind the wheel of a truck..

They vote the Union in and half the drivers will be casuals, what's a casual you ask , somebody who pays full dues and does NOT get any benefits or pension.
It's a racket that the IBT and corporate America have been running for years , it's a cash cow for the union ,.been there done that.

My feel is that this is a newer union member, still drinking the Kool-Aid, fairly tech savvy, and thinking he can get some rumor traction on a board of folks that - he thinks - doesn't quite have the tech savvy he does.

It's too dramatic, too crafted. People don't recount actual happenings as breathlessly as this guy.

Pic related is probably a close likeness. 1572147359304.png

So after unionizing normally everyone agrees on the master freight agreement or develop their own "white paper agreements" which means you still could have your 401k if you want or funds put into a regular retirement account.
Problems will arise from nepotism down the road. Fraudulent Business agents and presidents and vice presidents. But after awhile like 5 yrs or so. You get pretty used to the crooks in the unions and some of the nuckle draggers the union can't get rid of because of all the hearings and the rights of the worker. And you can't infringe on his nuckle dragging rights! Unions were good. In their day. But today it's worse now because too many people want there's now. Rather than to work for it.. And unless your ready to write a grievance for everything the company said they were going to do and didn't. Your just shooting pool with a rope.
Unions are a necessary evil for some companies.. But not walmart
