Lots of solar powered trucks out there, unless you're running team you'll only have to run at night when your "trainer" wants the primo "day shift" (effectively running team). Once you get your own truck, keep your 14 in the daylight, leave the dark to the O/Os that value a lighter traffic pattern.

So please tell us how this can be done? Drive 11 hours, take 10 off, at some point, makes you driving in the dark.
DO YOU realistically think there are no night time deliveries, early evening deliveries? -

One little tidbit that my parents told me is to "Never make a life-changing decision in an emotional state".
I know that doesn't help you now, but hopefully it will in the future.
As for the current situation: I'd say if you do decide to go back, tread lightly and basically take whatever they give you and shine with it. You've gotta show them that you can handle it now.
Even if they don't care, you should care. It will set you up for future success in your mindset.
Like I said, it's unfortunate you bailed early the way ya did, but it's up to you to grow a set and do things better from now on.
Good luck in your future.Last edited: Feb 7, 2015

Ebola Guy Thanks this. -
Don't return to that company; forget about them, too many others out there to choose from.

Which of the following statements seems least like the others?
1. I send whiney emails.
2. I'm a professional truck driver.
3. We shouldn't keep score and everyone should get a trophy for participating.
4. My feelings get hurt when people on the internet don't agree with me.misterG, texasbbqbest, cnsper and 3 others Thank this. -
