Series 60 Detroit

Did you check cam timing with a dial indicator ? one engine has round crown and the other oval crown (piston )

 

im leaning toward no compression in one ,or two cylinders, do a compession check on all cylinders,

 

I swaped engine with a new engine still blowing tons of blue smoke

 

Where is truck? You need a guru.

 

Huh ? Im in chicago . Just trying to fig this detroit out. Detroit worked on it for 2 months said drive till she blows they didnt know whatelse to do. So im losing revenue said H with it bought another longblock . Bad idea same deal.

 

I'm in the same boat. Number 5 not firing. Cylinder cut out showed number 5 changed it same result. Different ecm same result ohm test harness all good. No scoring, no holes no bent broken valves. Timing good, bull gear good acc drive good. Throwing no codes checked all grounds. The Molotov ####tail is prepared and ready to be lit and thrown!!

 

I'm thinking head issue perhaps. Production issue? Who knows how good the quality control on remain parts is?
