Is this common I've never seen it in any 60 series I've drove. I've been told it typical. This is only at 1000 rpm. Good throttle response and drives fine. Does this when cold or hot idle. When it feels like it. Overhead was just ran. I don't think this is the winter start program doing this.
Series 60 idle stutter at 1000 rpm?

Is this an EGR engine?
If so the ugly fix does wonders for this problem. -
No Ddec 4. I make my own ugly fix for $1.50.

If you are saying it doesn't have an egr then why would you need to make your own ugly fix?

My HK 14L will do this. Does it most at 1000 rpm just like yours and only when it feels like it. If you put any kind of load on the engine it will smooth out and run fine. Almost like the ecm can't find a stable idle at that rpm. I've had all my injectors gone through and still does it.
magoo68, Oldironfan and Oxbow Thank this. -
ECM abnormally but not really I'd guess. This is 12.7 ddec 4 rebuilt by Clark power engine glider truck.

I was going to suggest injectors, replacing mine now. Ran test and 1, 4,6 are not doing good. Picked all 6 at Freightliner dealer for $1540. See how that improves things
Oxbow and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Used to be common on12.7 detriots it's a ecm glitch that's annoying but not worth replacing ecm for .. apparently pp can overhaul it if one was so inclined .. personally I just lived with it and it never got worse on mine
Oxbow Thanks this.
