Serious question that needs an answer. Why do so many truck drivers just bend over and take it?

    A bunch of youngsters in this thread.
    10 hr break ,what's that? All you had to show was 8 hrs off duty in a day and it didn't have to be consecutive.
    You didn't even need them if you ran in Canada.
    Just in time freight was at a premium cost so manufactures stored more inventory so get it there whenever even a day or 2 early.
    Cash bonuses for going above and beyond, $1,000 was not unheard of.
    Some time you got your dispatch for weeks at a time and if you got done by Wednesday it was party time until Sunday.
    No or very little micromanaging.
    Also if the company screwed you in any way, well let's just say pay back was a ######.
    Bottom line is pay is nowhere near what it was if you adjust for inflation.

    Without the rest of the work force what would drivers have to haul....and what would they haul it in.

    If they bend over and take it they choose too. Not my circus not my monkeys. Every one has their own line in the sand it’s not my place to tell another when he’s getting screwed. Or what to haul for it’s his business.

    First of all too many non trucker on here talking pure t sht. If you can't haul it shut up.

    Secondly, if you haven't noticed there are too many faces that think sending crumbs back to their country is somehow eating good in America

    Lastly, they want automation and as long as the crumb lovers are in the seats the real Americans with real bills will STARVE.

    Had 1 actually say that as a group they are purposefully taking 98 cent and dollar loads so that people can go put their keys down so they can negotiate dedicated lanes for their people without competition and it's working. If the individual solo truck driver doesn't wake up from that 1980s big trouble in little China dream of what trucking is you will keep getting stupid and blind.

    I’m be real honest here.....if that’s really what’s going on them stupid m’fers can have it. With what it’s coming too I don’t care nothing bout staying anyway. If you were really a driver you would worry more about over regulation and know the rates are gonna work them selves out. You gotta work nobody gonna give it to you
