hey all. been doing alot of research and asking alot of questions. havent heard anything bad about prime, and they seem to have a good training program, and they allow pets, which is a very good thing for me and my fiance as she wants to ride along and bring her kitty.

    any thoughts or advice?

only problem ive run into with prime so far is that none of the recruiters are able to answer the phone :biggrin_2559:

you lucked out on that one bud. you couldnt pay me enough to get into one of their trucks. If youre looking to make some good money and get home every week get away from the van companies and try pulling flatbeds. mavrick, tmc, btc. they are all good companies and will train you straight out of school. good luck to ya hopefully you find something. try to stay away from companies like cre and prime all those big companies could care less about theyre drivers.

It's funny that you troll into a prime thread and not even be up front about whether or not you are even a driver. You have no credibility here,

Prime flatbed would have been a good choice.
Now that you're going with Swift, try to get into a refrigerated division for the best money with them.
Knight refrigerated & Central Refrigerated are also good.
Here's the way the money is:
    Tanker/hazmat
    Refrigerated
    Flatbed
    Van

As you can see, van is last, stay away from van.

I dont see the problem with having a reckless driving conviction. i was 18 years old. Everyone has made mistakes in their lives and i am no different. All i was doing was informing him of my opinion of working for prime as well as any other big mill company. as far as being up front as to whether or not i am a driver...why would i be on this site pitching in my two cents if i wasnt a driver. i may not have as much as experience as the old timers but iv been around the country a few times and in my opinion i know enough to try to advise someone to stay away from big mill companies. i worked for one myself and it was an awful experience and if i can help someone avoid that then thats what i will do.

And no one asked. Your opinion means nothing. Youve never worked for Prime so you know absolutely NOTHING about how the company operates.
