    Ignoring always works...

    ... until it doesn't.

Stopping to force a Regen is often the right thing to do and will clear out those codes. If a parked Regen doesn't resolve the issue, then it's always best to get the truck into service asap. It's never fun being forced to crawl speed on the shoulder, trying to make it to the next exit...not to mention dangerous.

    Possibilities?

Poor DEF quality, faulty DEF pump, plugged DEF doser, failed DEF heater hose, failed relays for the DEF system, CAN BUS error/corrupted programming in the EAS module... choose your poison.
Is it a Cummins or a Volvo engine?

I'm having that problem right now, have a mechanic reset all the codes and it still won't allow me to go over 5 miles an hour

2015 to 2017 Volvo's here. They changed the programming and the were bad for a while, mostly the 2016's, but the seem to be doing OK now...penske got it worked out.

Unless the place your company sends you is a place you know to have poor DEF. I never get DEF at a terminal anymore for that exact reason. A few hundred additional miles before topping again never hurt anyone, as long as you top it every other stop you make

So, lots of people are jumping to conclusions on what you have and what's going on. Here's what isn't clear.

Is it a Volvo truck? You didn't say, just that you got it from a Volvo dealer. Some sell different trucks.

Is it a Volvo engine? If a Volvo truck and engine a Volvo dealer should be able to fix it. If not, go to a different dealer.

Is it new? If so, should be under warranty.

What kind of truck and engine? What year?

So i got it fixed. It all started with poor def them in 30 min will go derate, then it asked for parked regen. I monitor soot level all the time and when all this happened it was like 30% full and it jumped to between 2 and 3 on the soot level gauge. (I have a vnl 670 d13 400 hp with 10 spd) so i dove to next truck stop put 2 2.5 gal of def from box. And started the regen it did like 1 hour and nothing changed on the soot level gauge. Then i drove 4-5 min on 3 gear 7mph with 1800-2000 rpm to push the soot or ashes from the filter.(it helped me couple of times) still soot level didnt change. It was saying in 75 min truck will derate. I drove 60 miles, truck was kinda weak like it lost 25% of power but still was kinda moving. Then it went into derate i pull the speed sensor snd drove from Birmingham al to my shop/yard in atlanta ga. The shop did scr crital.... and forced regen so level went down but i got stuck with "service def veh speed 5 mph " so while doing regen the temps were going up very fast 1050 deg F and then drop and up and down. So the problem were injectors and cups. Then i cleaned the DPF filter, change 7th injector change def filter drain anf fill up def and did all test like def dozing, nox sensor all test that jpro laptop with PTT software can check and do and nothing, no errors nothing just service def ...... then i went and change the injecttors and after thet my temps from regen stayed stady not fluctuating up till 1100 F and down to 500F . And still after injector job still 5 mph . Until they reset the SCR system and it disappears. Truck working perfect now. I think the the shop rip me off with inector job because they could reset the SCR system with out doing the injectors but, the did not reset it because they wanted my money for injectors. Thats my sad story. The shop could reset the SCR system and leave the injectors on my discretion but they just took advantage because i needed the truck back on road.it cost me around 5 k$ vs 800$ diagnostics +3400$ 6 paxk on injectors + 2000$ labor plus 1400k $ to clean the dpf filter +560$ to replace 7th injector and def filter at the bottom near pump. So 5000 shop vs 8100$ at vanguard volvo of atlanta.
