Reminds me of a 70's era movie called "Tron" a fantasy where one control system called the MCS ruled the digital work with a hard hand. Derezzing those who dared stand against him.

Here what will happen on my first DEF Truck. Log fueling, drive. Log derating in a safe place. Drive Log etc etc until the combined 11 and 14 hours is burned up today with a gain of about 140 miles. After off duty or sleeper if the regen problem still goes on, keep logging it under remarks line. Whatever your 11 hours burned up or combined with 14 hours onduty checking your truck. you are a trucker, not a mechanic.

Eventuality the trucking company discovered they will need 3 weeks to get a load across the USA. And drove it around 1400 miles give or take your 34 hour mandatory rest.

IF the boss man tells you he has a shiny tractor for you to have, virgin and everything. Tell him no and tell him thank you, but if you really want to keep me around find me a 450HP CAT air start and no-computer anywhere except Qualcomm.Hold the chrome and keep the steel wheels, I'll do well on standard aluminum wheels.

If the old iron throws a hissy, its going to be for a VERY good cause when you understand what parts were put on and how it solved the problem you will prosper and your company will realize they might want to stay with old iron trucks.

Atleast until California bans the things.

It would be nice if the jet stream blew the other way, so California would be down wind when I fart.

well guys and gals, from what I can say is am having the same issues now, I got the newer version of PTT and there is an option there on tests page, if you go to emissions and exhaust there is a derate reset option. Well after a lot of diagnostics and testing (plus fooling around), I was looking at the NOX sensor inlet and outlet and I didn't see the numbers going down but they were just fluctuating up and down, good thing I have parts available because there is a truck junkyard next door, I changed the inlet and outlet NOX sensors and I guess that was what seemed to be the problem. Now I know there might be other issues at bay but I like diagnosing customers trucks on my dime, and if the problem is fixed well I just charge what the real problem was ( and like I said because of the availability of parts I have makes me have the time to swap parts and make tests) is the reason that taking a truck to dealership is sometimes not worth it. I hope all this crap about the aftertreatment can someday be resolved because its really expensive trying to fix it when problems occur
