Nothing against you, but, isn't this something you should have investigated, say BEFORE you took the job?

Here is a bit of advice to anyone looking for a job.

When you find a company who wants to interview you:

Step 1 - immediately come to Truckers Report and type the name of that company into the search bar. There could very well be articles already posted and opinions of others you'd find EXTREMELY valuable right there, you can read and stay anonymous.

Step 2 - go to google or some other search engine. Type the company name. Go past the first several entries, those will (or should be) all the company's own pages triggered by your search. Maybe you want to type in "What is it like to work at company XYZ as a driver"

Step 3 through however many - there are countless other free sources available to you for searching a company including the BBB, YouTube, any number of credit sites, state and county court records, etc

Good luck, hope it works out for you there.

and....one more bit of advice if you don't mind. Just because one person says a company is bad, doesn't mean that it is true, it could be old or something that just wasn't true, it could be sour grapes. Maybe the person was an idiot and simply got fired. Read what they wrote. How detailed is it? Is it something you are likely to encounter or was it something completely different they were doing?

Now, if you read that person after person had a bad experience, well, that isn't good, but, again, let's hope that was something you discover BEFORE you accept the job, quit your old job, or, how about you confront them on the subject, tell them where you found the info and let THEM defend or justify the publicity.

Well I had trouble getting hired on with other companies. I got this job through a family member.

It's a small company but all the older guys say its a pretty good company. They made me feel like a driver not just a number

I have no idea, i just did what you should have done and googled them.

I’m not going to research them anymore than a simple google search. This is your job, life, carrer>>>>>RESPONSIBILITY.

Not to beat up on you, but you should have asked this question before taking the job. It would have yielded you better answers and less sarcasm.

But since you are there now, give us the run down.

How are they to work for?

    How old is the equipment?

    How is the maintenance?

Is pay on time? Does the check clear?

    How’s dispatch?

    How about saftey?

How hard do they push you?

Percentages of live loads vs. d/h’s?

    Average miles per week?

    Average pay per week?

How fast does the truck run?

    Apu?

    Aux heater?

Do they supply sat. Radio or tv?

Does truck have a fridge? Or inverter?

    Are you happy?

    Are most others happy?

What kind of frieght are you pulling?

Dealing with a lot of brokers? Or is it most direct customers?

Come on man spill the beans:)

That's about what you hope for. Be treated like a person instead of a truck number.
