Setting SWR

    I have a wilson lil will antenna
    i know how to set the SWR but what do you guys use to cut the antenna?
    i can't find anything that can gut it
    thanks

    I have always used a pair of bolt cutters or a pair of tin snips.

    Set it with all doors closed. If possible in a open parking lot or field with no buildings close by. Just take a little off at a time, nothing like buying a new antenna and wrecking it cause you got a little cutter happy!

    On my Wilson 5000 I used a hack saw (cutting at least 1/3 way through the rod)then broke off 1/8 inch pieces with plyers till the swr's were where I wanted.
