arizona..awful is an understatement.. more like getting it shoved up the ### with no lube is a better comparison...its been nothing but problems along the way as well..but to be fair, i didnt fill out everything correctly at first and that was part of the problem... but even then it would've still been a 2 month process, once authority was activated... i filed for my authority first week of december.. was activated on jan 3rd.. filed for irp ifta on the 5th... and still sitting at home waiting to get going, paying insurance all this time.... once you start dealing with governement... get rid of the go go go mentality... you will do nothing but make yourself crazy...im still learning....

Also, get with your local DMV. My numbers were from COVID times, so I had to wait and do everything the long way. But some of this stuff is as simple as going to the regional office as a walk in. Depends on their protocols these days.

Texas is big enough to be a "miniature United States", and it was still very difficult. I can't imagine what it's like in AZ.

But you sure AF earned your couch time. If anyone's going to make it, it's gonna be you.

OP, there's also form 2290 (HVUT), and UCR. Plus if you're a single owner, you not only need a drug consortium, but also a CTP/A.

Keep a spreadsheet of when these things are due, and which website you need to go to to pay them.

And when you're filing IFTA, don't forget about New York, Kentucky, Oregon, and New Mexico.

Plus, if you use your own address as your business in Texas, you're looking at business taxes on your own property, and franchise taxes.

They do the best they can to soak you F'n dry...

I don't, but I can get them whenever. The carrier I lease on to wouldn't have a problem with getting my own tags and IRP account.

Who do you use to track IFTA miles and pay quarterly?

I have KeepTruckin' ELD, and it keeps track of my mileage. But you can do it on paper. You pay quarterly on Texas' website:
