If my research is correct, the industry average is somewhere in the 110k range. So, you seem to be doing quite well relatively speaking. Is that a correct assessment?

I did a Schneider "trac lease" when I bought my truck. I wasn't with the company at the time, but I liked how the numbers worked out over a bank loan. I also had a walk away clause and a stupid low balloon at he end. I did eventually end up with Schneider.

My CPA and I agreed that it was the safest way to go.

I dunno if they still have that finance option......but it's worth looking into for prospective O/O's.

% I like the idea of picking my own freight off the load board. I don't want to ever deal with a dispatcher again! Lol

No sir, seated trucks avg is 220 to 270 gross with an O/R of 90%. That's your target. Specialized and oilfield is mid 300's.

That's good, I started out with FFE and I want to try and go back, my trainer their had made $72,000 for January to May when I started with him. I still keep in contact with my trainer and he always gets by house to spend a day out on the town.
