That's all ok. However, the lack of access there, unless you have a brokerage MC# is not right. I undersatnd that I may not be allowed to post there or read about someone else, but I do want to know if someone told lies about me and respond to them, possibly even to consider to sue for libelous entries.

There is a difference between "co-broker" and "double broker" or maybe we just use those terms to describe 2 different situations - having a co-broker agreement is one thing. That is where broker A who receives freight from an actual customer works with a different broker (B, who doesn't move with said customer) through an agreement to tender freight to a carrier. I personally would not want to do this as there are to many cooks in the kitchen. Double brokering is where a carrier books freight with a broker but then the carrier re- or double brokers it to another carrier they do not have a lease agreement with, often for less money. This can be a very bad situation for everyone involved.

I am pretty sure anyone can sign up for carrier 411. If i speak to someone and they sound like a normal reasonable person who has a FG report, ill ask them about it and hear their side of the story before making a determination. I also believe that when a report is filed, you get an email sent to the email address on file with the FMSCA/Carrier 411 and i do believe you are able to respond to it.

What sucks is they can turn it off conveniently for an hour or so or permanently. Posting this for the other guy that asked about it.

Totally agree! And I’ve read that the owner or atleast founder of it has been involved in fraud themselves. I can’t verify that, just makes you go hmm.

In theory that sounds nice but doesn’t always work that way. You should be able to make an account and monitor things yourself. I’m a carrier and broker so I can see how it’s a great tool but also not always fair. You seem to take a very reasonable approach though.

There was a post just now I think the mods killed it where the guy was talking about brokering under his Mc and him or you keep 80%. Pretty sure it was double brokering deal.

either way the hungry guppies are out in full force as the industry’s race to bottom continues.

since we were talking about carrier 411, i just read a FG from a factoring company about a carrier having an open balance with TAFTS. That is the kind of FG i could care less about.

I got a big surprise, a few months back. Landstar agent tried to double broker a Load with Me. I ended up getting in contact with the original Broker, he was very angry about it. I booked it with him, and ignored Landstar calls. Don’t know what Landstar Official Policies are, But this was flat out dishonest. Usually the Dbl Brokers will fill up the board, later in the day. Everyone else has a load or two. Certain Brokers suddenly have a bunch of loads available. Usually posted in a nearby town, usually also a nearby destination trying to disguise the actual load. All Red Flags.
