I have been fighting shaky cab or steering not sure what it is but i’m going crazy. Around60-65-70 its here with different frequency but it shakes. New steers beidgestone ( was doing with previous set firestones too), new drums, balanced, went to do alignment they said truck is straight no aliignment is needed, new drives tires, driveshaft looks tight, not single u joint lose. I’m suspecting maybe king pins ? truck have 1.2 milion never done king pins i will post video from both wheels and let me know if someone knows anything.Unfortunately won’t let me upload a video. Is there a way to upload video, but i lift both ends on the truck passenger side it has little knock when i put a pry bar under the tire and move it up & down. No any signs of tire wear. What could be ? motor mounts ?

Did the tire shop use balance beads or actual wheel weights?

In my experience the beads are useless and will cause this issue at intermittent times.

I never experienced bad kingpins but I assume the front end would shake all the time if they were bad?

What axles do you have? Might want to look very closely at your anchor pins for your brake shoes. If they are worn even a little it will cause your shoes to drag lightly on the drums. It can certainly cause strange vibrations especially after they begin to warm up.

You can check your king pins by putting long pry bar under the wheel and lift. Have someone do that while you look for play. A shop probably wouldn't even charge you to do it if you asked nicely.

If they are worn enough to cause your issues that would have been obvious on the tire wear of your previous set of steers. A good shop should be checking for anything loose or worn when they do tires anyway. Double that sentiment since you should have gotten an alignment too.

Any rusty dust or rust streaks around the u-joint caps? I have seen several that felt tight but were rusted up and beat to crap inside the cap.

A couple of things that haven’t been mentioned, 1) have you checked the play on the 2 piece slip driveshaft ? The splines wear out if not grease properly. 2) have you check the air bags height ? It’s usually in a decal on the frame for the correct height.

First of all i want to thank you to all of you for the fast response and willing to help me find my issue. I read all the replies and will start with the first. Wheels are balances with weights and i also bought centramatics to see if it helps but nothing. My front brake shoes i don’t think they have ancor pins, they have only one roller in the front by the s cam.
All the u joints are non greasable and they look like in good shape not movement at all.

will drive tire out of round cause shake in the hood ?
front shaft is replaced and looks nice and rear is fine. :(

Looks like the wheel bearing is slightly loose. I couldn’t see the king pins moving, but wheel yes.

I had my wheel off today. I tried to move up and down on the hub i couldn’t notice any movement. Do you thing loose wheel bearing would not be felt on the hub ?

Definitely looks like the wheel bearing is loose. I couldn't really notice any slop in the kingpin either.
