Wanting to know who you drive for is digging up dirt?,..man you are paranoid.

Drop another Prozac and resume normal functions, sorry if my simple question caused your tinfoil hat to get misaligned. My bad driver.

No,..thats not true,..62 is where they are cutting them down to as a savings factor.

another typical thread of the actions of one bad driver being the representative of us all..

I have seen alot of companies mess up and hit other trucks and what not...and its not always a Swift truck, just easier to blame us and laugh at our expense though isnt it...

Not quite. It means "it's none of your business who I've driven for, drive for now, or will drive for in the future". That's a sensible attitude to have in Cyberia.

However, I will have to say what I've said here many times. I know, I know, guys. I sound like a broken record, but here goes: I will go back to SwiftQuit in the future. Yes, the day I walked, I promised those guys I'd come back and work the day after doomsday. Well, there ya go, International. You now know who my future employer will be, at least after the world explodes.

ok to answer your questions, NO his window was not tinted. It had taped, alot of tape, holding the black bag up on his driver side window. Also, I in no way was really attacking SWIFT. I was making a comment on a driver, who happened to be driving a SWIFT truck on a busy by-pass is all. If it had been any other company, I would have stated that company as well. I agree, there are alot of other company drivers out there that do some very scary, and yes stupid things. I probably have a story about most of them, and I've only been out here 8 mo!!

anyone ever think when they see things like this to HELP and buddy out instead of letting himself screw it all up? If you see someone backing up and in danger of hitting something, is it SO hard to hit the horn and get his attention?? A 1 second action on your part could save everyone alot of time and money.

I guess its easier to let them do it...laugh as someone goes down in flames, then come here and tell everyone about it and everyone has a good laugh. Screw em, its not me right??

I miss the days of the military where we all had each others back and took care of each other, no matter what...a lot because our lives depended on it. Out here its more like a TV show and everyones mishaps is someones else's entertainment. How does anyone expect a strike of any sort to work ever? No one here is a TEAM, your individuals

I have no excuses for Swift with the trash bag, or others out there that do the things they do. I cant speak for us all. I do however do my best to correct or help my fellow swift drivers when and where ever I can. Lord knows everyone else out there isnt trying to teach them anything, so how they supposed to learn?

This country and this industry is on a long hard road to no where. Most of you are out her for yourself. You old timers wonder whats happen to the industry and complain complain complain, but no one is doing nothing about it. HELP YOUR FELLOW DRIVERS OUT and pass all you know to others!!! Your kindness giving to one driver will hopefully be passed from that driver to another and so on and so fourth and maybe, just maybe, we can do some good. I hope ever small favor Ive ever done for my fellow drivers is being passed on...

    But thats easy isn't it...

and to add to that...anyone think maybe something hit swift's window and he was doing everyone a favor by putting a bag on it in case it shattered and sparing everyone on the roads and nice shower of glass?

NO, its easier to say he was a bad driver and have a good laugh of his actions. HAHA right?

t2000, It is not limited to the industry, country. This is a aworld wide social problem. Reality television, (and as much as I hate to say this) things like television, mtv, internet, things of this sort we hace become numb to being people as a whole.
You will find individuals who care
individuals who are intelligent, rational, comprehensive.
But people (groups)are Rash, paranoid, overreactive, irrational, etc.
The commercials on tv that are running now that show how a cycle continues from being nice the next person on and on, is happening b/c alot of people realize the same thing you are saying now.......:biggrin_2557:

Just had a minute gotta go............J

Y'know, I was going right along, agreeing with you - at least, in principle. After all, it's just common sense. Lord knows that if I'm in that kind of position I'd like somebody to get my attention before I break or bend something.

but this bit about a bag 'in case it shattered' I'm having a heck of a hard time following..unless you are tongue in cheek? If you are serious, why not put a similar bag over the windshield? Or paint over the headlamps, to prevent blinding oncoming drivers at night.

    Needless to say, I'm confused.

I was going to start another thread, but that title would have been the same as this one.

In case you are reading this Mr. Swift driver who backed into a travel trailer at the Richfield, UT Flying J at exactly 9:55 pm mountain time, you might consider being a man next time instead of a worthless scumbag and stick around instead of driving out of the truck stop at full speed and heading eastbound on I70. Your truck/trailer number was reported and I hope you get all that is coming to you, dirtbag. The swift driver that backed into another trucks mirror 10 minutes before you fled had enough balls to stick around.
