You're not the only one. Traffic is bad and then if it rains, watch out!

Wow and come to think I had a swift recruiter almost knocking my door down like military recruiters . I drove in the army and I know I backed into tight spots always got out to look and never had an accident I wonder what there teaching them swift boys . I always see pics of them in some kind of wreck

In all fairness, they have something like 21,000 drivers- they can't ALL be heading for the trucker's rodeo, and they can't ALL be the worst driver on the road.

According to saferweb, they don't seem to be any more dangerous per driver than any other company - as far as DOT reportable accidents are concerned - with approximately 4 DOT reportable accidents per 1000 drivers- per month.

Still, one doesn't hear about other company's drivers being involved in so many "fender benders". But it's hardly unexpected, when you consider the turnover there and their fondness for drivers who still have the shrink-wrap on their CDLs

It's not just the company drivers/newbies.

An event that was not DOT reportable. The Swift O/O who thought it would be cool, to make a left turn in front of my truck, on an open highway.

It could have been a DOT reportable. But, I keep a good check on the conditions of my brakes. Of course, it didn't prevent me from taking a cussin from the guy behind me, who thought I was mearly standing on the brakes.

sure - there's always twiddleheads, no matter where you look. I was just commenting that - in the case of the big six, they're more common BECAUSE of the high concentration of noobs. Doesn't mean Mr 20-year won't do the same thing - there's just fewer of 'em doing it.

This is not unusual, I have pointed out quite a few trucks to my husband in disbelief. It seems to be some kind of new trucker fad pulling the curtain on the side windows. Guess this trucker did not have any side curtains. :biggrin_25513:
