Lone Star Trucker, I plan on going with Roehl Texas regional van division next year. What was your overall experience with them? What was home time like and pay? How is Averitt treating you? Take care
thanks for the thread zephex. got 3 more weeks of cdl school left. still deciding on what trucking companies to apply to. so far I'm thinking of schneider, averitt, and old dominion. or possibly go into the oil fields.
One quick question for the Averitt drivers: Are all of your transmissions automatic? I keep hearing different reports on this from different sources, so I'm trying to get a solid sense of what the reality is from actual drivers... thanks.
As you - and your left leg - age, this will become a good thing. At some point, you won't need to be a Super Trucker anymore, and bodily health will become more and more important. Says the guy who hates jerking down the I-90 parking lot in Chicago at 8-10 mph...me

I saw where Averitt had a refresher course training program. I drove for 23 years but have been out of it for almost 3. Been seriously looking at Averitt. Are you guys consistently running 22-2500 miles per week?? Im not looking to run illegal or outlaw......did enough of that back in the day. Don't have alot of bills either......just wanna make a decent weekly wage and have good bennies!!!
