SheepDog's time with USXpress...

Ah, the old qualcomm...LOL I do sometimes miss doing paper logs and I wonder how it would be without the electronic box in my truck....maybe when the wife and I get ours, we will find out

I hear you Flood concerning not taking your phone or answering when they call but, I tend to feel that they shouldn't be calling as much as they do. My assighned FM calls rarely but the night shift calls alot and not just one person... I think it is rediculouse to call someone and ask where they are when they already have that info and I tell them that. And like you sending in the Macro,,what the hech, don't they read the messages? From now on if/when they call, I am going to get there name and report them to my assigned FM.. thats a start anyway..

 

Well, I got to say that my FM is a good man... I asked him monday morning if he could do his best to get me by a the house, to pick up some things. Any longer than that would be great but not needed. He told me he would do what he could, I thanked hime and thought nothing eles of it. Within 30 mins he got me a load going right by the house and about 18hrs of time to get what I needed, go out with the wife and just hang out. After that was all said and done, I took by brake and headed down the road 16miles to deliver my load in Stevenson, AL

Now, here is the kicker... My phone "Crashed" and I ordered a new one, over night to the house. I figured I would get it when I could or have the wife overnight to me on the road. Well, I talked to my FM, figured what the hell, and he got me the load I am currently on going to Chesterfield, MO with an extra day on the delivery time. So, here I sit, at the house, waiting on my phone...aint life great...

The student is progressing as he should and today he drove 650 miles without stopping except once for fuel. As long as he continues to progress as he has, he will do just fine when he upgrades...

 

I want to appologize to everyone for not being around for a while....been busy with student and just plain lazy afterwards. I feel like a stranger on here now...LOL Got to get back into it..

Sitting at a Flying J enjoying some play time and relaxing... FM called yesturday and I could be on the road right now but really just want to sit for a day or so,,,load delivers an hour away on monday morning. The FM was nice enough to understand

Student is doing ok, I think I expect too much and I have to remember that I wasn't much different 4 years ago...LOL This will be my last student, with the exception of my wife. I don't see how anyone can train month after month... I love being a truck driver and sitting in the passenger seat or bunk while someone else drives, almost crashes, misses turns, does't trip plan, drives too fast, speeds, and breaks too hard...just isn't for me. Yes, I know how to train, just don't want to.... I want to drive my truck, listen to what I want to listen to on my radio, or cb and stop when I want or go when I want.... USXPress is doing great by me up to this point, heard about the people that were let go and pray they find work before the holidays. I also pray that USXpress listens to the drivers that really care about this life and work to be a better company....
