I'm with Roehl and have the newest truck pc 200, 2,000, whatever...Windows based, at any rate. Its got 2 USB ports and apparently the ability to connect a scanner. I'd love to hook one up so I could send paperwork straight from the truck instead of having to stop and Transflow it or pay to fax. Anyone have a working system like this? I tried apps for my smartphone, but as I am a dumb driver, I haven't been able to figure out the "simple" process involved.

Transflo has an application that you can use that lets you Transflo right from the truck cab using a scanner, go to this link and click the Transflo Now button.

If you google portable scanners you will find a lot of options as well. I liked the Greta because it worked on GSM. Just read through all the information and see what is required before you spend any money.

Have you tried pwnwithyourphone.com. This app is awsome, easy, does single or multipage documents. It requires a android phone (may work withIphone too) with a camera and email. It cost like $6 or so. I saved that with a few documents.
Simple operation.
1. Take picture of document.
2. Adjust size with drag window.
3. Save file
4. Email saved pdf too......
I did my first multi-page document in like 5 minutes.
I really like that is saves the documents, so I can send them again if need be.
The documents are really clear on the receiving end. -
Camscanner is another good one.

Just looked up GRETA...it uses T-Mobile service...not happening, but thanks for the idea.
I have camscanner app...trying to incorporate with a fax program.
Roehl payroll will accept emailed paperwork, but it has to be sent in .tiff format. Basically, I want something small that is also easy to use. The bigger the PITA, the less likely I am to try it more than once. -
I thought that tmobile was part of at&t now. I used at&t for several years without any problem running OTR. I have looked at the scanners, if they will accept tiff format, then all you need is a scanner and email account. There are many portables scanners available that are full sheet scanners that don't take a lot of room, but if you have the camscanner, it might be that someone on here can give you the details needed to make it work for you, evidently you would then email it from your phone. I did buy a portable printer that turned out to be a good printer, but I would have to go look at the model number if you did need that info. Good Luck with all this.
