Looking to replace the shifter boot in a 99 T-800 with a 10 speed Rockwell. I am guessing it is best to replace the upper and lower boot as long as your doing one? What is the best way to go about this? Any tips would be appreciated

    Thanks

Do you have to unhook the stick from the tranny?

No all you have to do is unscrew the shift knob. All it is, is a nut under the shift knob. Really easy to do. Takes 5 minutes.

I always take my old boot and tip it upside down through the hole so that when your new one gets a hole in 5 years, the upside down old one helps keep dust out.
