Let me guess.
That foolishness originated from people who recently moved to the area knowing there were farms in the vicinity.

Commericial hog farms are notorious for mismanagement of their slop ponds. When Smithfield chooses a strawman plaintiff and LOSES TO THEMSELVES you know there's a problem. Assuming it's carpet bagging Karen's is rather small minded. -

Last Call Thanks this.

And my point wasn't about any one case. It is assuming that the plaintiffs in cases like these are whiney cry babies is dumb.
Instead of smells, what if it's new lights? Or a new piece of equipment making excessive noise at all hours? Laws and regulations clearly show the farm is in the wrong, but regulators don't seem to care about enforcement. The only avenue left is a lawsuit.
The lawyers and pr firms will paint these litigants as bums looking for a handout while it is their own clients malfeasance that is the issue. -
#####ing about smell, animal noises, or traffic makes them whiney little cry babies, and that would be the nice things I'd call them. -
And here in Iowa a producer can NOT build a barn or site with out a permit issued by the DNR.. in which the DNR has to follow protocol that the state of Iowa has set to protect your precious Karen's home
Oh as a added worthless fact.. Iowa is the #1 hog production state in the USA.. so I think they know what their doing
Do you know who own's Smithfield ??Rubber duck kw Thanks this.
