Frickin Sunocos on the Ohio pike want to hold a card,, I Tell em "I'll PREPAY" They say their system isn't set up to do that. I give them an actual "Credit" card to hold tempoarily instead of my bank debit card- That way if they try foolishness- I can dispute any fraudulent TRANSACTIONS. I tell ya,People must think truckers are stupid
And I'll never use my debit card at a pump reader ..EVER!!
Theres another place that does it too A Chain of truckstops- I Think Pilot Flying J used to- But you can Prepay nowRideandrepair Thanks this. -
I had some ****** in NJ demand I give them the credit card I would use to fuel up a couple years back, he said his system isn't setup for pre-pay, which is BS. I gave it to him, I get my receipt and when I get my bill in the mail, it has $4890 worth of charges on it. That was the last time anyone got to hold an active card.
I had a driver call me about handing his license over until he got his BOL, he refused and I told him I'll back him on this decision - not a problem. So he called the company, told them he is refusing the load, they call me and I told them that personal info is not to be handed to the shipper unless it is a high value load and then it is only supposed to be copies and returned to the driver, that is our policy. So we didn't miss out on much, the company came up with a better load, almost twice the amount we were going to get for the first one and we put the shipper on a no haul list.Gearjammin' Penguin, Rideandrepair, Grumppy and 1 other person Thank this. -

Louisiana has never taken my old licence. I actually have 2 copies of my old licence. I cashed a check once & the bank put my licence in the envelope with the money. The money was a deposit on services to be completed at a later date. I put the envelope in the file with the contract without realizing my licence was in the envelope. After a few days, I noticed I didn't have my licence in my wallet. I looked all over & couldnt find it so, the next day I went to the DMV & got a "duplicate" of my licence for $15.
Later when the job was to be completed, I opened the file, got the contract & the envelope & there was a my licence. I still have both licences... the original & the duplicate.
If your state demands you return you old licence to be destroyed, you might consider going to the DMV & tell them you need a duplicate because you lost the original. When you go to get your new licence, keep the original & turn in the duplicate.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
