Regarding Post # 7, referencing Post # 2. Attempt at Humor. Not always do such attempts go to plan.

Shippers SHOULD PAY For Holding DRIVERS & EQUIPMENT HOSTAGE when Drivers Arrived Accordingly and are Held Against Their Will: Locked To Dock.

The Bill Would Be Nice To See PASSED, not "passed along".

It's hard to pay people for their time. We need free labor in this country to keep the poor corporations afloat.

Hell I’ll continue to drive if it passes, but something tells me if it does pass so called driver shortage will be over and that driverless trucks will be pushed forward faster.

Even if driverless trucks were here now...you're not going to trap a truck on your dock without paying.

It will be detention vs over time. Detention will win because it’s a smaller fee.

7 hours overtime each day vs 2-3 detention.

So they got 40 years of SUPER cheap labor before replacing us? What a nice ending to the industry.

If everyone gets OT it’s not a problem, just pass extra costs on to consumers as is done with fuel costs.
Companies compete on the backs of drivers. Like the old days of coal mining when employers paid miners with what they’d stolen. Shovel 20 tons, get paid for 10
