I've had a few customers photocopy my ID before giving me my bills or when checking in to get a load. I have my credit frozen. I haven't had one bad consequence from letting them see/copy my ID.

If you don't have you credit accounts frozen and you have you mail sitting in a mailbox until you are a crook steals it, lots of bad things can happen.
Freeze your credit, NOT LIFE LOCK, and get a P.O. Box.

I didn't have room for an electric or manual jack. Every time the company bought manual jacks the assistant terminal manager sold them. That's not rumor, that's fact.

They can scan the QR code on the back of a OK Dl and capture all the info in a few seconds.

I've had this happen at rental companies when hauling equipment for them. They get you to sign your name, print name, phone number and date. When they ask to make a copy of my license I ask the person to make a copy of thier license for me. Sometimes they do it ,other times just say never mind.

I’ve done this in reverse once

I hauled a vehicle to a sketchy lot that forwarded to either the port or?

I deliver it and asked the guy at the yard for his DL
    He asked why?
I said this vehicle paid way too much money to haul it and if I was going to prison then I was bringing a friend

At the time I had a scanner in my truck
Scanned his iD and gave it back

KB3MMX, Numb, Siinman and 2 others Thank this.
