Seriously bro, thank you so much in 2 ways.
1. Not just blindly throwing around unhelpful annoying comments like: "Ah good luck have fun in hell with that ###### company, watch your back!"
2. For offering constructive and creative feedback I can actually use, that I WILL use. It's definitely worth a shot to do that and it had not crossed my mind that if W-S is a good company they likely can/will do that.
So much crap gets through around about every company except for the good ones that nobody knows about on these forums even though these mainstream ones are pretty much the only carriers that do hire inexperienced grads such as myself.

Now I am not a company driver... Nor am I a rookie driver... but I will give you my opinion anyhow!
The 2 companies I would recommend would be Swift & Schneider. I have not worked for either company, so I'm basically on the outside looking it. I believe both those companies are good companies forr new drivers like yourself. They will give you the seat time to get the experience. And then after you got your time under your but, you can move on to other companies. or you know, you may be completely satisfied.... Stranger things have been known to happen.
I watch Schneider closely. Cause if I ever decide to give up flatbeddin', Schneider will most likely be the carrier my truck gets leased to. -
Thank you for the great input.
I have already been considering Swift from what I've gathered from other people's experience, that's also why I've been considering Schneider too so if those feeling are in line with yours that helps me with having confidence in those companies. Because I'm looking for one just to get by, and I respect what the experienced drivers on these forums have to share. -
Now Swift isn't in my considerations when it comes to leasing onto them. And that deal breaker is because they require their O/O to govern their trucks at 68 mph.... I'm not governing my truck. I pay the payments, I pay the insurance, I pay the fuel.... I'm not going to have a carrier micr-manage me.

REDD, what's their excuse for that? Aren't their trailers good for over 68?
-
Since I don't plan on being an O/O I'm not worried about those details. I like investing elsewhere outside of trucking and rigs.

While I'm not a driver for W/S they do have a terminal where I live and I've heard nothing but good things about them as far as our local one..one thing they do do is only take CDL holders who have gone to an acredited(sp) school if your applying staright from a school but they also let you know if not they will consider hiring after you've done your 6 weeks somewhere else..HTH
