Yes I have. Both residential and truck rollup doors. Do yourself a favor and have a door service company do it. Money well spent to pay a professional to do it right in half the time. Might cost a little more, but worth it.
spsauerland, Lonesome, Puppage and 3 others Thank this. -
I do the truck doors often enough. This one is the shop door 17' x 17'. It aint gonna be cheap.
-
Those commercial doors are heavy. Get some pricing and see......
After you fall or hurt yourself winding those monsters, how cheap will it be?spsauerland, Puppage, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -
i think the overall general consenses would be to call in the pro's for this job.
i was going to suggest the same thing earlierBoxCarKidd, Puppage and Goodysnap Thank this. -
In my area I wish I had called around. On the third trip I was told you need a whole new door.
If I need a whole new door why did you not tell me that the first time? Called another company farther away. They replaced the lower door panel and it worked great for years.
Another local guy feel doing that himself. Broke his hip and put him out of business.
I have worked on them as well. Be careful!buddyd157, Goodysnap and spsauerland Thank this. -
Having seen what happens if it gets away while you're winding it up I'll pay somebody else to do it.
